Barcelona by bike
The city is doing a lot to promote cyclism as a way to reduce traffic and make it more traffic friendly. It is not yet Amsterdam or Copenhagen but it is indeed one of the ways to see the most and get around the quickest. If you are planning to rent a bike for several days a collapsible bike may be your best option, as they can be kept safe at night in the apartment. It is not advisable to leave rented bikes out at night - even if they are securely locked.
